about
My name is Mathew Fleisch, and I am a programmer, musician and videographer, raised in Marin, California. Introduced to music at a young age, I have played many different instruments in competitions and concerts over the years. I attribute my grasp of programming and mathematics to my musical upbringings. I first interned and eventually got a job in my hometown public access television station while still in high school. That job eventually led to my three-year stay at Access San Francisco (accessf), where I gained the bulk of my filming and editing experience. While working at accessf, I taught Final Cut Pro, Photoshop and Motion to users of all skill sets, as well as created Public Service Announcements for other non-profits, run studio equipment, and helped to maintain a playback server. After leaving accessf I helped build Marin's new public access station. This primarily involved networking, database management, playback server workflow, and website consultation. I now work at The Buck Institute for Research on Aging as a staff programmer and web master for the institution's website. In my spare time, I play keyboard and saxophone for Our Vinyl Vows.
